Playbarn Assistant

Saturdays and Sundays 8.45am to 5.30pm

£12.71 per hour plus a share of Hotel Tips

We are looking for a warm, reliable and enthusiastic Playbarn Assistant to join our friendly team. This role supports the delivery of safe, fun and engaging childcare for our guests’ children, contributing to an exceptional family-friendly hotel experience.

Your main Responsibilities will include:

• To supervise children, ensuring a correct adult to child ratio is kept
• Awareness of the differing needs of a wide range of children, ensuring the welfare of the children is a priority at all times
• Organise and deliver a wide range of stimulating and safe activities throughout the session
• Set up and clear away the daily activities with assistance
• To assist with tidying and cleaning the premises after the session, checking equipment and premises are kept in good order
• Carry out daily risk assessments with assistance
• To ensure that unacceptable behaviour is dealt with in accordance with the policies and procedures of the setting.
• To understand and assist with planning, evaluations and recording children’s progress
• Communication with parents and carers in a positive manner

As part of this role and childcare needs, you are required to hold an Early Years qualification at Level 3 and also be qualified in Paediatric First Aid. (Please Note: The First Aid qualification is preferred, or must be completed withing 3 months of starting). This role is also subject to a DBS check.

Please be advised we are based in the countryside of Gloucestershire and you will require your own means of transport for this position.
